Who Else Needs a Rock-Solid  Home Security System?

My name is Mac Abley I've been in home security for 11 years now.  If you are like me, you've worked so hard to get your home. You're so proud of what you have achieved. It is your home, your fortress against the outside world.  In it are the important valuables that you have acquired through hard work and effort. Possessions that you value above everything else.  Besides your children and your spouse are countless other peices of personal property that you care for so dearly. 

Along comes a stranger who sees your home as a treasure trove. Another place to snatch something of value, run off, and unload it for a quick buck. Probably for much, much less than what it is worth. For me it was my great-grandfather's pocket watch which he got at the world's fair in 1900. An heirloom that had been a part of my family for over a hundred years and was entrusted to me by my father. Although it's been over ten years now, this episode snapped out of my false sense of home security and still leaves me feeling violated. 

Or it could be that laptop pc that has all your programs from work. Little does the intruder care about the intrinsic value of these items or the fact that this is your home he broke into. All he sees is a quick buck. 

And don't think this can't happen to you because your neighborhood never has breakins. Don't settle into a sense of false security because - "Afterall, burgularies never happen here in Smallville, USA" - they only happen in the big, congested cities. Statistics show that one in ten homes will be burgularized in a given year. On average each residential burgulary results in a loss of $1,300.  Losing money is sad, but the loss of something that has emotional value attached to it can be a lot worse - believe me.
